Five Passenger Phaeton

This Phaeton provides considerably more room than most cars of its body type. The rear seat is 46 inches wide and the distance between the front and rear seats is 25 inches. As the illustration shows, the body lines are long and graceful, and the slanting wind-shield and low top all suggest the speed at which it is capable.

The body is up to the high Bay State standard - sturdy and rattle-proof, as well painted as any car you can purchase, and upholstered in genuine hand-buffed leather over curled hair and Marshall type springs.

The top is of the clear horizon type with permanent quarter curtains and the unusually large plate-glass windows in the rear. The storm curtains are cut and fitted by experts. They open with the doors and are so well tailored that they add to the trim, smart appearance of the car.

A feature which will be appreciated is the tool compartment in the left front door, which is equipped with a durable lock and each tool is held in a separate pocket.

As with all the Bay State models, a treadle type of accelerator pedal is used. This is so hinged as to properly balance the weight of the foot. The full value of this devise can be appreciated by those who drive steadily for hours at a time.
