Framingham - Dick McCabe last year changed his long-standing green colored race cars to yellow and in the 1993 Busch Grand National Series, fans will soon see another major change, as McCabe prepares three 1993 Pontiac Grand Prixs for the upcoming season.

McCabe recently announced that the R.H. Long Cadillac-Pontiac-GMC dealership of Framingham will co-sponsor his efforts to repeat as the series champion in 1993. R.H. Long joins with the Fisher Engineering Company (snowplow manufacturer) of Rockland, ME, to support "The Irish Angels" title drive.

Julian Hargraves, general manager of R.H. Long, said, "We are extremely pleased to have Dick McCabe and his proven team associated with our firm and we look forward to a long-term relationship." The R.H. Long dealership, established in 1927, is also the largest Pontiac parts distributor in the United States.

McCabe recently returned from Charlotte, N.C., where he was inducted into the Gatorade Circle of Champions along with Alan Kulwicki, Joe Nemecheck and other NASCAR division champions Jan. 9. In response to questions on the change, McCabe said, "We are very happy to have R.H. Long Pontiac join with Fisher Snowplows for the upcoming NASCAR Busch GNN Series. We can't wait to get behind the wheel of those new Pontiac Grand Prixs with the improved aerodynamics. We think we made an excellent choice based upon the Kyle Petty and Rusty Wallace performances over the second half of last year's Winston Cup season. We also look forward to a closer association with the Pontiac division of General Motors Corporation through its motor sports representative Ken Millet."
